A Prayer for Cameroon - Deliverance from destruction

I just want to take a moment to deeply pray for God's Mercy on Cameroon - not because we deserve it or because we are entitled to it; 

We know that we have fallen short to living the life of a country full of potential (bright minds, beautiful scenery, natural resources, arable land) destined for greatness; 

We know that we have accepted the rule of a regime that applauds mediocrity, nepotism, and greed ; 

We know that we have loved our individual comfortable lives more than the sacrifice for the collective prosperity ;

We know that we could have done more to improve the lives of the underprivileged and oppressed;

We know that we are wrong, and that even though we might deserve the results of this culture of accepting all the negativity and backwardness of our nation, we know that our God is a merciful God. 

LORD, Adonai, Yahweh, we plead for your mercy on this nation.

Deliver us from the oppressors, and have mercy on us; 

Deliver us from fear, and have mercy on us. 

We know that you are a God of restoration, that when the time will come, you will restore this country to a respectable and dignified level; and we know that we will rise from this stronger, less selfish and wiser. 

So, Yahweh Father, please have mercy on our beloved nation.
