#AboutLastNight,
About the last 2 months,
About the past 4 years...
It's bitter and it's sweet to wrap-up this chapter of my life. I don't have the words yet to describe the symphony of emotions happening in my heart. I will leave the longer reflections for the days to come.
For now though, my words are speeding in my head as I look at everyone in this photo-collage below:
Some of them, just by looking in their eyes, I have tears of "we've been through so much together and here we are;" others, I feel drawn to because somehow our Spirits #connect; and many more give me so much hope for the near-future of our nation!
My daily reading yesterday brought me to a passage in the Bible in which #Jesus states:
It is such a strong message for me to have digested. It told me to keep spicing up people's lives. To keep lighting up lives.
To us all: Let's continue living our lives full of #flavor! Let your light shine.
The darkness might not want or like your light, and even try to dim it down or overshadow it, but keep your #light on! It will uplift, brighten, heal, and illuminate the life of at least 1 person. And that makes it worth it!
As I graduate from this class, I pray that God may bless you. It has been a true, deep and sincere honor to be of service to you all! I have enjoyed it and I had fun through it.
The work continues. As a friend (Jesse Carlton) always says "We have a continent to build!"
One chapter of life at a time. One class at a time.

My daily reading yesterday brought me to a passage in the Bible in which #Jesus states:
“You are the #SaltOfTheEarth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
“You are the #lightoftheworld. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives #light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven." - Matth5:13-16

The YALI family... what a pleasure it has been to work with all of you. On Tuesday, during your debriefing, when Yembe Nfor spoke to me on behalf of the 2017 class, it brought a rush of tears to my eyes... Not so much sad tears, but more of gratitude, thanks for the acknowledgement, happy with the turn out of this class, hopeful for the future. And accumulation of all those feelings.
It's been amazing. We still have a lot to do. #NehemiahGeneration #SolutionneursMindset.
All 72 Mandela Washington Fellows Alumni, and 100s of YALI RLC alumni will always have a very very very special spot in my heart.----
Keep impacting lives with what you do!
This pic-collage is an accumulation of YALI Mandela Washington Fellows Alumni I have so much admiration for.
Hilda Bih has been a steady source of inspiration since 2014! Her strength, the beauty of her spirit, her drive and impact are just impressive.
Blest Emily Miki She brings the spice in all she does. Such a kind heart. Such a kind spirit. Freshly back and ready to rock the place!
Lontum Nchadze : Examplary leader, with full integrity. There are details of his life and character that I saw through the YALI process that made me respect him even more.
Solange Ngo Ngane Doctor with a heart if gold. So sparked up and lit up for the future. I can't wait to see you use that fire burning in you!
Ettamba AgborNdip the Doctor committed to solving problems one home, then one community at a time. You are a ball of energy and passion. Waow ! I'm happy for the multiple opportunities opening up for you.
Horore Bebga Keep pushing to get women empowered through tech. I must say, I admire your perseverance.
Yembe Nfor Mr Charismatik. The one whose simple presence reassures of the right leadership. I've rarely met someone so upbeat and enthusiastic. You are always ready to jump right into things. We need that zeal and enthusiasm.
And last but not least:
@Christelle Chongwain : I strongly think you are one of a dozen people God wanted me to know and truly connect with during the last four years. My sister, only our Spirits know what they know. The respect I have for what you do -- seemingly easy to many, but when they are put to the task they monumentally fail.
I usually tell people, find me someone who can mobilize 1,000 people within a week, in one hall, bring along local officials, traditional chiefs, all stakeholders needed, and deliver an event with so much professionalism and so much sauuce! That's our Star -- Christelle.
Your light is bright. Darkness is threatened by it, so darkness wants to turn it down. Sister, keep your light on! You have lit the path of many many many people. Don't stop. I'm so thankful for our friendship. I thank God to have known you, and that we are now family. We are together as we move and grow in life.
237's tech minds, the voices we hear online, from within and from outside.
They are the makers, builders, creators, calculators, computers, bloggers, influencers of our online community. We are proud of what they can do, and we love to love them.
My Techwomen... from the first class of 2013, to the next one leaving this weekend. Of all exchange programs, I always tell people that if I had to pick, the Techwomen program is the one I would have loved to immerse myself in. Silicon Valley, 5 weeks, Mentors, Cultural experience, new friends, new projects. What more would I ask for?
To my colleagues Dorine Takam Ketchiozo and Mabel Foncham-chingang keep that fayaaa burning. We truly are together !

La releve! The next chapter !
It seems like I have known Charlene for a long time, but we just met this Monday and on Wednesday, I had the pleasure to pass the baton on to her. God's timing is always so perfect. I am at peace and reassured to have her carry the torch and continue that run. Help is here! But please be kind, patient and understanding with her.
And I will always be an email away, in case you need anything!
