"Harambe! Harambe! Harambe!
A dream on a piece of paper
A team that refuses to waver
Africans moving from vision to action
What is life without a mission?
4 days of exciting adventures
Elevator pitches on various ventures
From Ibrahim Diallo of whom Ban Ki-Moon speaks with respect
To our own Madiba who tells us what to expect
Cannot forget Garikai who inspires us with his elocution
Touched by Lwazi Don who combines mission with vision
From Lord Remmington who came after Lady Remmington
To Regina who confuses cricket with badminton
But everyone dances when she inspires with the audacity of her passion
Binyam, the best UN Secretary General we may never have
Isabella, with several questions in her head
And while it is true that Kenyan girls rock
Amina has shown that Nigerian girls are ‘da rock’
Girls smile, guys don’t smile
The camera was off for a while
The first was a primer
The second for the timer
Michael Pearse can make ugly ducklings look beautiful
For behind the lens, he is a man that is wonderful
Ms Sabat who responded to all the emails
Olivia and Damien are tough acts to follow
And for those I have left without mention
I recognize you all as people of action
From Harvard to Oxford
From Rhodes to Rice
From Taiwan to Bonn
And from the Libyan School of Economics
All the way to UBC
The best university in the world
Outside of North America, South America, Asia, Africa, and Europe
It’s been great meeting with you all
And I know great actions will come from us all
To my brothers and sisters yet unmarried
The remaining hours are not to be wasted
When all is said and done I must commend Okendo
And the audacity of this young man
Who along with Prince Soko and the Safari class
Kickstarted this great gathering of Harambeans
For in the end, the Africa our generation desires
Can be won, it exists, it is real
It is possible, it is ours"
