How to think like a problem-solver. Workshop with Oser l'Afrique

Yesterday I had so much fun with this group of bright Cameroonians, during an "Oser L'Afrique" workshop I was invited to contribute to. Along with 2 other amazing speakers (Arielle Kitio - Techwomen of WiT; and Claudel Noubissie - Co Founder of SOS Médecins), I was asked to share tips on problem solving. Now, when it comes to truly learning skills like critical thinking, problem solving, team work, "selling an idea", I think we can be more effective by doing more hands-on exercises with participants. And even though 1-hour might not be enough to transform mindsets, it can ignite the spark in individuals, and help participants reshape the way they observe their challenges. 

So I proposed 3 games to give the participants the basis of critical thinking techniques and to show the switch in mindset of Problem-Solvers. It was just a glimpse into the fun games and exercises we do with Harambe Solutionneurs. Just the tip of the iceberg. But it helped many get out of their comfort-zone-of-thinking (and that was one of my goals with those exercises).

Our next #Solutionneurs session will be on the 30th of June, God willing, before the 7th edition of Harambe's National Social Business Plan Competition, on the 1st of July.

Many people have expressed their desire to be coached extensively on critical thinking, problem solving and other soft skills : negotiation, decision making, effective communication, etc. Those are workshops we are used to offering in a fun and interactive way, to ensure long lasting learning. Just let me know if interested, and we could organize ad hoc 4-hour sessions on Friday afternoons or Saturday mornings, before June 30th (if we have at least 12 people per session.)
