We are in a nation in which such platitudes (insults from the president like Apprentis sorciers etc), easy to say but void of any meaning, have led us to a race towards the bottom. It has hampered our intellectual growth, we have been sinking and sinking for thirty years while using phrases like that, that only promote mediocrity, subjectivity, unfairness.
Where have we reached with "on va faire comment? " "Le Cameroun c'est le Cameroun" These are all phrases that dulls the intellect. Instead of young Cameroonians seeing a problem and saying, let me solve this, they'll say "on va faire comment? Le Cameroun c'est le Cameroun."
Now, he is adding insult to injury, to those phrases that only serve to dull down and disempower a people of their capacity and potential to THINK, SOLVE, RESOLVE, CREATE , INNOVATE.
What is a nation in which most citizens feel powerless, abandoned to the whims of one single person, who is too blind to see the disaster he brought on a country that was emerging forcefully? Who, perhaps is not even too blind to see, but cares the very least, about the state of affairs of our dear beloved country.
There's nothing anyone will tell me to prove that this man has an ounce of love for this amazing nation and it's awesome people. There's no way to explain such mediocrity from the top. It's terribly sad to see how people actually don't see how in thirty years we have been plunged into an anomaly of a country, where fakery, debauchery, mendacity, laziness, subjectivity, are all the new standards and established values we accept to adhere to. It's crazy!
