#9 - Blog is Up/ Loooveeee/ Haramber-Cameroon Unleashed/Special love all my supporters!!!

Kmer 09 - Thoughts, Reflections, and Experiences (Weeks – 12,13,14)

I finally got my blog on… after lots of encouragements from my facebook fam, I decided to go for it! It’s been stealing my time though. With the slow internet connection here, it takes 20-25mins to upload pics… then to edit each doc, it’s an eternity…but I’m hooked.

I have to admit, now that I have a blog I am a little bit more conscious of what I write. Now, I kinda feel I need to be more articulate, proper, and smart in my entries... But noh, this is not supposed to be a thesis or something (I've done that already). What this blog is, it's basically my trail of thoughts as they come daily, hourly, and weekly. I just jot them down, from the shallow and superficial, to the heart-felt and profound. I try to remain true to myself, and genuine in my writings, even though now I’m sharing them, not just exclusively with my friends, but with the world wide web.
  •  My cousins are beyond hilarioussss! They are my stressbusters after work. Every day I’m guaranteed with lol – sessions!

  •  The Mbororo cattle herders trek from the Extreme North to down South, i.e. more than 1000Km. Mad respect!
  • I’m attracted to the visionary dreamer, and I respect the Go-getter. I see part of myself in both of them. But the dreamer is busy dreaming, while the Go-getter is trying to get what he wants. Hmmm...

  • I received the sweetest proverb in my phone-inbox yesterday: “The man who plants his grapefruits by the side of the road, and the one who has a pretty daughter, both share the same problem. Have a wonderful night"

  • My cousin copied-and-pasted it to send to his gurl. Talk about Plagiarism!

I’ve received sooo much love, encouragements, support, Love-declarations, within the past 2 weeks that I’m starting to think October might be the month of Love-giving.

... I have lots of love to give!

"...I never knew I could be so happy, I never knew I’d be so secure… because of your love, life has bright new meaning; It’s gonna be a Brighter Day! Brighter day!” – Kirk Franklin jamming in my head all day.

My Harambe-Cameroon team is great! We are getting things done, and we are very organized. It took lots of prayers, ‘cause honestly, it was tough to get a team of committed and dynamic students at the beginning. I had to slap my hand on the table, and tell them I won’t deal with anything less than commitment. The difference between Interest and Commitment is this:

"When you are interested in doing something, you do it only when circumstances permit. When You are committed to something, you accept no excuses, only results." - Unkown

I'm a proud Mama today, Harambe-Cameroon is officially a legal entity in our nation. We are LEGIT! (For real, God placed angels on our path, 'cause the usually very-indifferent Bureaucrats were exceptionally collaborative with us. That can only be the hand of God.)

Let the unbelievers remain there and sleep! Hmmm… they don’t know what they are missing out on. The Presence and Glory of God is palpable, it’s abundant, it’s delightful, it’s joy, it’s love, it’s peace, it’s REAL! The person of little faith, doesn’t know what he/she is missing out on!

Marianne Williamson said this Faith is an aspect of consciousness. We either have faith in fear or we have faith in love, faith in the power of the world or faith in the power of God.”

In my opinion, when you don’t believe, you live in a Matrix. In which, you think you are just a miserable puppet in this cold cold world. You think reality is always working against you. You think there’s nothing to have faith in or believe in. But when you get out of that Matrix, and you CHOOSE to believe, you realize you are not just a mere subject in this world, but the number one actor in your life. You realize that reality is always working in your favor. And when you choose to have faith and believe, I tell you, with the utmost conviction, ALL IS POSSIBLE !

I always thought about this: There are optimists and pessimist in life. The optimist are always thinking positive, hoping for the best, seeing the goodness in things. Then you have the pessimists who are always expecting the worse, cynical about things, skeptical about people. Now, think about this, if the optimist never obtained what he/she was hoping for, would he remain optimist? … If the optimisalways had a “reality check” as they call it, would he keep the positive thinking? … He would be embittered by life. He would give up on his positivity. Same with the pessimist: Because he's always expecting the worse, being suspicious, and negative, reality alligns itself with his mindset.... All I’m trying to say is , the optimist stays optimist because it actually works. So, at the end of the day, it’s a matter of choice: You choose to look on the positive side, or on the negative. In both cases, you will probably get what you chose.

Marianne Williamson tweeted this a while ago: “There’s no such thing as a faithless person. Faith is an aspect of consciousness. Our problem is, we have faith in our disasters.

I’ve had so much encouragements. I’m sincerely grateful for the support and words of encouragements. Let me highlight some of what my peers said, on fb, in my gmail, and on the blog. You will see what I was saying, that I have been blessed with the best of friends, and God has really placed Angels on my journey on this earth:
  • Ms Nessel, my 8th-11th Grade Math teacher, now a great counselor to H.School kids in Pakistan, made the very first comment on the blog, which said: “ Olivia! What a wonderful blog. I'm so happy that you are doing these great things. Keep it up and you'll be running the country before you know it!It's also so nice to see pics of Cameroon. I miss it more than I'd like to admit. Ms. Nessel”

  •  Winnie Magoum Alexandra Josepha , my childhood friend, since Class 2 (2nd Grade), now a sister to me. Representing the Lawyers of Netherlands , wrote: “Girl am absolutely IN LOVE with ur blog...it's kinda like reading abt a much more sophisticated version of myself:my views, character, passions, beliefs and all the like!am also learning soo much abt the sweet motherlandl, where dyou even find time to write up all of that??neways keep it up girl, cuz u definitely got a FAN out there lol.God bless, love u lots xoxox”

  •  Tata Aline, my second mommy, my aunt who inspires peace and unconditional love, gave me a call to express both her surprise and her encouragements. And Veronique, Cameroonian Ambassador at Williams College, called me all the way from the US, and told me she spent all evening reading the entries. :-)
    • Briiiiaaaaannnn Omwenga, my Kenyan brother – Nokia associate, Band owner, and Business Developer – Gave me the thumbs up for all the writing. And Julz, my lovely Julie Muriuki, my other sister from Kenya – Masters candidate at Rutgers – sent some love and support in my inbox.

Now, let’s throw ourselves 10 years from now…and imagine me selling million copies worldwide on my TREs…(Hey, u gotta dream bigger than you can dream!)

Allow me to present my #1 Best-selling Book team:
    1. Beebee, the International renown pastor, is officially appointed my NUMBER ONE FAN. So, when I sell million copies, no one can claim that position.
    2. Phil, the Franco-American Jew who became Muslim, and is ruling Montreal, has become my Executive Producer.
    3. Prince Soko, now a Tycoon across the continent of Africa, is my Manager.;-)
    4. Adedayo Bolaji-Adio, my Koffi Annana at the UN, is definitely my editor in chief, as well as my Creative adviser.
    5. I will definitely be in search of a Publicist, A Translator for the top major world languages, and even a typer, to type-down my thoughts....lol

I feel abundantly blessed with the fantastic friends I have. Really. It can only be a gift from God to have so many great and wonderful people in my life.

Perhaps I am sooo excited now because earlier today I was stressed out. All morning, I wanted to tear my hair apart, cause I had toooo much stuff to handle (both at work and with Harambe): An Interview with a young girl who recently obtained her Birth certificate, Project proposals, Letters of partnership, Inauguration Invites, Draft proposal for the 20th Anniversary of the Convention Relative to Children’s Rights… I mean, it was all weighing down on me... my head was hot, my throat was dry, I was tensed… Then I had my meeting in the afternoon… and it went so well, all the stress cooled down. I even forgot I had been stressed. Lol.

All I can say for now is that, 90% of the contract is in our favor. It feeels soo good! :-)

So excited I feel like giving a Kiss to everyone right now. Bisous bisous bisous. (And to you reading this right now, a warm tight 10 seconds long Hug. I love you).

      Peace and Love.
